Zilla Expeditions (Ltd) Terms & Conditions

Access to and use of Zilla Expeditions Services is subject to the following Terms & Conditions: By using Zilla Expeditions you agree to be legally bound by these terms, which shall take effect immediately on your first use of our service. If you do not agree to be legally bound by all the following terms please do not access and/or use Zilla Expeditions Services

Zilla Expeditions (Ltd) may change these terms at any time by posting changes online. Please review these terms regularly to ensure you are aware of any changes made by us. Your continued use of Zilla Expeditions and after changes are posted means you agree to be legally bound by these terms as updated and/or amended.

Reservations, Payment and Deposits

When we have accepted your booking, the date of the confirmation invoice activates the terms and conditions. Confirmation of services is subject to payment of a deposit of 50% of the total invoiced amount. The balance is to be paid upon arrival.

When transferring funds please ensure that all costs are on you and we receive the net amount as any shortfall on the deposit payment will be added to the balance payment due

Prices

Prices are quoted in US dollars. All prices are subject to change without prior notice. Should prices or costs from suppliers increase due to inflation, currency depreciation and fuel surcharges, then we will not have any other option than to pass on the same to you. All suppliers reserve the right to increase prices at any time of the year when costs increase outside the control of the supplier.

Please note that when the clients’ itinerary overlaps two seasons, the price will be prorated over the two seasons.

Rates include but are not limited to the following services specified in the itinerary. Accommodation with meals, tours, transport, driver/guide, park entrance fees, hotel taxes and service charges.

Rates exclude (Unless otherwise specified in the includes and excludes above), Medical Air Rescue services, Porterage, domestic Air Charters, Visa fees, beverages, laundry, telephone calls, scheduled flights, gratuities and all expenses of personal nature.

Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel your holiday you must notify the Company in writing as soon as possible. Your notice of cancellation is only effective when it is received in writing. In such case the following cancellation charges will be payable:

  • If cancelled within an arrival date of 89 – 60 days, 25% deposit will be forfeited.
  • If cancelled within 59 and 30 days 50% cancellation charges will apply
  • If cancelled within 30 days 100% cancellation charges will apply
  • Unused portion of any Safari or Tour is not refundable.

For 3rd party suppliers, each have their own cancellation terms which would be applicable. Above is a safe cover for most however should there be a variance we would need to action as per the 3rd party.

NOTE:- Should an amendment of number or guests or reduced stay within 90 days and the total invoice is affected by 25% or more, cancellation terms will come into effect. If clients wish to amend their stay to another time and deposit has been received we shall hold the deposit against their next booking. However, if the amendment happens in the cancellation period and should then lead to a cancellation standard cancellation charges will apply.

Transportation

Land Cruisers  or Land Rovers will be provided according to the safari route and number of participants.

Insurance

The hazards of travelling in Africa may inevitably rise to some risks and dangers. It is therefore a condition of booking that all tour members must have sufficient and appropriate travel insurance for the duration of their tour. Such insurance (which is not supplied by us) should fully cover all personal requirements including death, personal injury, medical expenses, and repatriation in the event of accident or illness, cancellation or curtailment of the tour members’ personal property.

Special Requests

Any special requests (e.g. for single rooms or particular diet) must be notified in writing when the booking is made. Whilst the supplier will endeavor to meet such requests they cannot be guaranteed and any failure to comply will not be a breach of contract
