What to Expect on this 5 day budget Tanzania lodge safari
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire national park where you will enjoy amazing game viewing, picnic lunch box will be provided. Tarangire is a park of giant baobab trees, rolling savannah and acacia parkland.
The park is famous for its dense wildlife population, which is most spectacular in the dry season between June and September. It is during this period that thousands of animals – wildebeest, zebra, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, and oryx migrate from the dry Maasai steppe to the Tarangire River in search of water. The predators – lion, leopard, and others – as is the custom in the savanna follow closely by. Birds are also abundant here and over 550 species have been recorded. After breakfast, depart for a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, picnic lunch box will be provided. Lake Manyara national park is well known for its tree-climbing lions and a variety of wildlife such as elephant, buffalo, lion, zebra, giraffe and much more.
This is a magical and pretty park that winds its way around a mainly forested driving route between the banks of soda water lake and the impressive rise of the Great Rift escarpment. After breakfast, you will head toward the Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping on route to admire the beautiful view of the crater as it can be seen from above at the viewpoint. Spend the day exploring Africa’s most spectacular wildlife “play-ground, the Serengeti.
This park is probably the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world. Within its 15,000 sq km area it hosts 3 million large mammals. More than 35 species of plain animals – zebra, wildebeest, eland, giraffe, and others are found here. And so for the big five: elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard, and rhino. Dinner and overnight: Serengeti Embalakai Authentic Camp.
0630 hrs – depart for an early morning game drive in the Serengeti, when wildlife is most active. Return for breakfast, collect lunch boxes and proceed to the Ngorongoro Highlands.
Enjoy en-route game viewing and look out for the Masaai homesteads along the way. You will arrive at your accommodation in time for evening rest and relaxation. The next day will be an early morning rise. Dinner and overnight: Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge.
